It feel strange for the first time I sow it. Same thing happen when I sow iMac black border around the screen. I can only say to apple keep it simple and give us a clean design, because I'm not going to update from my white shiny nice MacBook and my cute shiny white iMac. If black keyboards look ugly per se, then the MacBook Air must logically look ugly - and I'm sure Ive et al would not agree with you there! The black keyboard in the Air is not a new departure - remember that the Titanium PowerBook had something similar. Personally, I think that the silver plastic keys on the current MacBook Pro looks cheap (fake metal) - black keys would be an improvement. Note also that the low profile keys introduced originally on the MacBook have now been rolled out across every Mac line except the MacBook Pro - that surely tells us something.

sorry, but it looks ugly! i am also sure that it w...

sorry, but it looks ugly! i am also sure that it would NOT have a black keyboard, because it looks as if there would be a strategy behind the black-parts. for example the iMac: it has a black line around the monitor. the air has black keyboards but no black line around the monitor. it looks, as if apple/jonathan ive is playing around with parts of computers: the monitor, the keyboard etc. so what else could be black? the frame AROUND the keyboards? the trackpad?

Hi Nicholas.
